Seahawks' Brandon Browner will not face assault charges for July incident in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES -- No charges will be filed against Seattle Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner, the Los Angeles County Attorney's Office confirmed to our news partner The Seattle Times.

Browner had been named in a police report that alleged he assaulted his child's grandfather in July. Police say Browner's girlfriend's father claimed Browner assaulted him in the driveway of Browner's residence in Los Angeles.

On Wednesday, prosecutors announced they would not be moving forward with charges.

TMZ Sports reported that the investigation "hit a major roadblock — because officials could not locate or interview Browner … and the witnesses suddenly became uncooperative.”

Browner has been at Seahawks training camp since it opened last week in Renton.
