Why is Trump eating KFC with a knife and fork?

Controversy seems to follow every time Donald Trump tweets, and this one is no exception.

After spending the day campaigning on Monday, Trump tweeted a photo of himself eating KFC on his private plane with (gasp!) a knife and fork:

This isn't the first time the GOP nominee has drawn outrage over his utensil use. In 2011 he and Sarah Palin stopped for pizza in New York City's Times Square and dug into the slices with forks and knives:
