Seahawks training camp practice canceled for fans Tuesday due to 'inclement weather'

RENTON, Wash. -- The Seattle Seahawks were forced to cancel the viewing portion of training camp practice for fans on Tuesday, Aug. 2 because of "inclement weather."

The team tweeted the news around 7:40 a.m. saying that fans planning to attend practice would receive an e-mail with more information. The Seahawks apologized for the inconvenience.

The team will be practicing indoors but that is not open to the public.

Q13 Meteorologist M.J. McDermott said rain showers were expected Tuesday, with isolated thunderstorms possible:

"An upper level low swings through today giving us a chance of afternoon showers and a slight chance of a thunderstorm.  The most likely spot for thunderstorms will be the Cascades.  It’ll also be cooler today, with highs in the upper 60s to near 70.  Hopefully showers will finish up by dinnertime when neighbors gather at block parties all over the region in the “National Night Out.”

Tomorrow, we’re back to morning clouds with afternoon sunshine and highs around normal, upper 70s.  Thursday looks like the warmest day of the week — sunny skies, highs near 80."
