Suspect in shooting identified as Allen Christopher Ivanov

MUKILTEO, Wash. – The 19-year-old that police have in custody a fatal shooting at a Mukilteo house party has been identified by sources to Q13 News as Allen Christopher Ivanov.

According to his profile on Linkedin, Ivanov is a 2015 graduate of Kamiak High School in Mukilteo. His profile says that he currently attends the University of Washington. A spokesperson for the school tells the Associated Press that a student matching his name and age is enrolled at the  Bothell campus, where he was going into his sophomore year. On his profile, he lists that he works at the Apple Store.

Ivanov also posted frequently on Instagram. Just five days ago posting a picture of a rifle and bullets with the caption, “You can’t run with me” and a frown face emoji.



Police have not yet identified a motive for the shooting, but friends of the victims tell Q13 News that Ivanov and one of the victims had just ended a relationship.

Investigators say that around 15-20 people were at a house party where gunfire erupted just after midnight.

Ivanov was later arrested on I-5 southbound near Chehalis after authorities put out an alert on the vehicle he was driving. He was taken into custody without incident.

Ivanov is being held in Snohomish county jail on three counts of first degree murder, including one count of aggravated murder. He is expected to be in court on Monday.
