Chris Clemons won't be back with the Seahawks after all, report says

SEATTLE – Chris Clemons won’t be returning to the Seattle Seahawks after all.

The defensive end has decided to retire, according to a report from nfl.com’s Mike Garafolo.

Clemons came to the Seahawks via trade in 2010, and led the team with 11 sacks in both 2010 and 2011.

He tore an ACL in the playoffs in 2013, then went on to play on the Seahawks’ Super Bowl winning team the next season before being released in March 2014.

Clemons agreed to a one-year deal with the Seahawks in April after he was released by Jacksonville on March 3.

Clemons retires with 69 sacks and 200 tackles in 12 seasons.
