Block Party, Saturday

Seattle - For the twentieth year in July Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood exploded with life, color and music and this year was no exception.

Besides going home to your own bed, one of the greatest things about having a music festival in your back yard is the showcase of amazing local talent. We here in Seattle are gifted with many great artists in an array of musical styles.  Weather it's the classic headbanging rock sound of the Grizzled Mighty or the pounding drums of Odesza Seattle is no slouch to the sound of good time.  The Capitol Hill Block Party is a once  a year opportunity for us a metropolitan area to showcase the best of our musical scene. By attending you are helping to feed the musical beast of the Northwest.

In the late afternoon sun we welcomed our neighbors to the north.  Toronto based band On and On owned the Vera stage playing their hit "Drifting" to an enthused crowd.

Earlier in the evening the Grizzled Mighty played to packed Neumos and as usual they did not disappoint.  Playing a range of brand new and band classics the packed house loved every chord.

Odesza took over the main stage Saturday to close out the night.   Before finishing their set, with  the stage with a crowd thirsting for more, a special guest and guests joined in their soul vibrating sound.
