Help police identify suspect in armed takeover and robbery of Tacoma bank

TACOMA -- Detectives need your help in identifying the suspect responsible for the armed takeover and robbery of a Tacoma bank.

Police say the suspect robbed Heritage Bank in the 1700 block of S. Union Avenue around 9:15 a.m. Monday.

"The suspect walked into the bank, displayed a handgun and demanded cash from the tellers, and then threatened to start shooting people if his demands were not met," according to a bulletin from CrimeStoppers. "The suspect took the money and walked out of the bank heading westbound on S. 17th St."

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20s or early 30s, about 6' tall, weighing around 180 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a dark brown fake beard and mustache along with a green jacket, a black cap and wrap-around sunglasses.
