JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. (AP) — The Army has identified the soldier who died during a training run Friday at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

A spokesman for the base said in a news release that 26-year-old Spc. Louis Moua was an infantryman assigned to the 2nd Infantry Battalion, 1st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team.

He arrived at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in September 2015. Moua deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from February to October 2014.
