TACOMA  —  The neighborhood around Tacoma Mall may soon get a new name.

City officials say over the last year, some people living near the mall have expressed interest in re-branding the neighborhood, to capture a vision of “positive change.”

Others say they’re fine with being known as the “Tacoma Mall” neighborhood.

The city’s asking for feedback.  It’s inviting community members to provide input through an online survey.

But they want your comments before Wednesday, July 20.

The proposal is part of the City of Tacoma’s Sub-Area Plan for the neighborhood that focuses on the goals and strategies for the area.

Visit the website and complete the survey before the 20th.
