SEATTLE – Police are investigating after a woman was injured in a shooting in Seattle near a homeless encampment.

The shooting happened near Airport Way South and Royal Brougham Way.  The fire department transported the 36-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries to Harborview. She was shot in the stomach.

Seattle police are on the scene investigating and talking to possible witnesses.

There is no suspect description.
