Pot shop owner: Thieves used ladder to break in, steal marijuana

WHITE CENTER -- Security cameras captured video of thieves breaking into a pot shop in White Center early Friday morning.

The owner of Nimbin Pot Shop said two people used a ladder to climb through a second-floor bathroom window behind the store. Once inside, the video shows the thieves packing the pot into garbage bags.

Deputies responded to the store near the 10800 block of 1st Ave South at about 5 a.m. Friday, and the store owner turned over the security video to deputies.

This is not the first time thieves have targeted Nimbin Pot Shop.

In  September 2015, someone rammed a truck through the front entrance and got away with cash and marijuana. Then about a month later, deputies said three men with guns robbed the store. They took money from the cash drawer and marijuana packets off the wall display.

The owner hopes the new video from Friday morning will help deputies catch the thieves.
