Seahawks training-camp tickets sell out in hours

UPDATE: Shortly after noon, the Seahawks announced all tickets were sold out. The team said nearly 34,000 fans had registered.


RENTON, Wash. -- The Seattle Seahawks are opening 13 training camp practices to fans at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center this summer in Renton.

On Monday, the team announced dates for the practices between July 30 and August 16.

Fans interested in attending Seahawks Training Camp presented by Safeway must register on Seahawks.com. Registration begins Thursday, June 30 at 10 a.m. on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Fans must register at trainingcamp.seahawks.com in order to attend practice. Kids age 15 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Last year, all practices sold out -- with more than 34,000 fans attending.

Here are a few more details from the Seahawks:

An $8 transportation fee will be charged per person, as fans will be required to park at an off-site location and be shuttled to VMAC before and after each practice. Only fans arriving at VMAC via the designated shuttle will be allowed into practice. The VMAC parking lot will be completely closed to the public.

The Seahawks have partnered with The Landing Shopping Center in Renton to serve as the Seahawks Training Camp Parking and Transportation Center. Guests will receive transportation and training camp passes upon check-in at the Seahawks Training Camp Guest Services Center which will be located at 822-B N. 10th Place, Renton WA 98057 (next to the Seahawks Pro Shop in The Landing). Fans are encouraged to carpool and park in the garage (entrance off Logan Ave. N.) and adhere to no-parking areas within The Landing.
