Groundbreaking project by The Seattle Times aims to start constructive discussions about race

SEATTLE -- Terms like "racism," "white privilege" and "politically correct" are often used when talking about race. Our partners at The Seattle Times are working on a groundbreaking project tackling this topic.

They interviewed 18 people from Western Washington about what these and other phrases meant to them. Their responses are featured in an interactive online video project titled "Under Our Skin: What do we mean when we talk about race?"

Two members of the editorial team behind this project, Corinne Chin and Tyrone Beason , discussed the project Friday on Q13 News This Morning.

Watch the videos and join the conversation in this special section of seattletimes.com.
