LACEY -- Kurtis Edwards self surrendered to the DOC fugitive unit thanks to crime stoppers and WA most wanted

LACEY -- The U.S. Marshals and Southwest DOC Community Response Unit are asking for the public's help to find Kurtis James Edwards. Officers say he is wanted for Failing to Register in Thurston County.  An arrest warrant was issued this week. His original charge was Rape of a child 2nd degree in 2005.

Officers say Edwards and his girlfriend have been living in his girlfriend’s Black Scion xB in the Lacey area.  Task Force officers say they have contacted people close to the 27-year-old they have been uncooperative with law enforcement about his whereabouts. 

He is 5'07", 140 lbs with brown hair and eyes. If you spot him or know where officers can find him, call Crime Stoppers of Olympia/Thurston County at 1-800-222-TIPS.
