Despite season-high 29 points by Breanna Stewart, Seattle Storm fall to Dallas Wings, 88-79

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Karima Christmas and Odyssey Sims each scored 17 points as the Dallas Wings snapped a six-game losing streak with an 88-79 victory over the Seattle Storm on Thursday night.


The Wings outscored Seattle 31-19 in the decisive third quarter. Aerial Powers' 3-point play with 53.5 seconds left in the period extended Dallas' lead to 65-55.

Seattle did not get closer than six points in the fourth.

Courtney Paris recorded her second straight double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds for Dallas (4-7), which is ranked No. 10 in the AP power poll.

Dallas led by 10 points in the first half but trailed 38-36 at halftime.

Breanna Stewart made 12 of 14 free throws and scored 29 points for seventh-ranked Seattle (4-8). She had 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting in the first half but didn't attempt her first shot of the second half until the 7:10 mark of the fourth quarter.
