Deputies: Man shot during home break-in; K-9 helps police arrest three suspects

SEATTLE -- Three people are in custody following a shooting in south Seattle overnight near South 116th and Renton Ave S.

The King County Sheriff's Office says just after 2 a.m., two women called a family member to say someone was breaking into their home. By the time he arrived, police say he heard gun shots and then saw his brother lying on the ground, hit in the arm and stomach.

Three suspects took off from the scene but were tracked down by K-9s.

The person who was shot was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

No further details have been released.
