Alaska Airlines announces free flights to Orlando for family, partners of shooting victims

SEATTLE -- Alaska Airlines announced Tuesday that it will provide free air travel for the immediate family members of those killed or injured in the Orlando shooting, as well as spouses or domestic partners of the victims and their immediate families.

"If you fall into one of the above categories and need to book travel to Orlando, call 1-888-327-2755 for assistance. Alaska Airlines serves Orlando from Seattle and San Diego," the airline said.

Alaska Airlines said it is also making a $25,000 contribution to the OneOrlando fund, which it says is "best-positioned to take care of families who need support and care while they work through this challenging time in the Orlando area."

"We are also encouraging our fellow Alaska and Horizon Air employees to donate through our employee giving program for matching eligible funds," Alaska Airlines said.

"Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the victims and their families, and the greater LGBT community. From all of us at Alaska Airlines, we stand by you and will always believe that love conquers hate."
