Remains found in dump not those of missing Lacey grandmother Gail Doyle

OLYMPIA, Wash. -- The  remains discovered in a waste dump Saturday were not those of missing Lacey grandmother Gail Doyle and were determined to be non-human, the Thurston County Sheriff's Office said Monday.

"Detectives continue to search the refuse site and all resources will be exhausted in an attempt to local Gail Doyle," the sheriff's office said.

Gail Doyle went missing June 2 after last being seen with  suspect James Stidd.

Stidd was charged with second-degree murder and unlawful possession of a weapon in court on Friday.

According to court documents, Stidd was seen on surveillance video dumping multiple items from his truck bed at a waste site in Thurston County. On Saturday, detectives searching that site located remains that they thought might be  Doyle.

Doyle's family told Q13 News that they're not ready to talk. When Laci Doyle spoke out earlier this week, she said she was still holding out hope that her mother would be found alive.

Stidd's arraignment has been scheduled for June 21.
