Remains found in case of missing Lacey grandmother

THURSTON CO. - Detectives in Thurston County found remains on Saturday in their search for a missing 60-year-old  grandmother.

Gail Doyle went missing June 2 after last being seen with James Stidd.

Stidd was charged with second-degree murder and unlawful possession of a weapon in court on Friday.

According to court documents, Stidd was seen on surveillance video dumping multiple items from his truck bed at a waste site in Thurston County. This afternoon, detectives searching that site located human remains that they believe belong to Doyle.

Detectives said they will continue to search the site in hopes of finding more remains.

Doyle's family told Q13 News tonight that they're not ready to talk. When Laci Doyle spoke out earlier this week, she said she was still holding out hope that her mother would be found alive.

Stidd's arraignment has been scheduled for June 21.
