LONGVIEW, Wash. (KPTV) — A Longview dog park has been closed after dozens of dogs became sick with bacterial and viral infections.

The Humane Society of Cowlitz County says nearly 60 dogs developed symptoms of coughing and runny noses. As a result, Gerhart Gardens Dog Park is closed until June 20.

The humane society said two pathogens have been discovered, and they say they’re likely spreading between dogs at dog parks.

All of the affected dogs have been linked to Gerhart Gardens Dog Park.
