Divers recover swimmer's body from fast-moving Puyallup River

ORTING, Wash. -- A swift water dive team today recovered a man's body from the fast-moving Puyallup River.

The 53 year old from Graham was swimming round 7:30 last night, when he disappeared in the river, six miles south of Orting.

Orting Valley Fire and Rescue, with help from a search and rescue dive team, found the body in the murky, fast-moving current near a logjam.

After retrieving the body, a county work crew used a backhoe to clear the logjam.

Officials remind us, all local rivers area running fast and cold and to always be cautious.
