Parents: How should you talk to your kids about racism?

SEATTLE -- Caprice Hollins is with Cultures Connecting, a company that provides consulting, coaching, and diversity leadership support for individuals and organizations. Their focus is addressing race relations, and we talked to Dr. Hollins specifically about the different ways parents can have conversations about race with their kids, particularly when kids are hearing accusations of racism in the presidential election, and in everyday news stories.

Watch the interview above for her insight on how families can ask questions of their kids to get them thinking about these topics; how they can facilitate conversations about race when they come up in the media or at school for kids; and what she says about how racism has changed in the last few decades.
