Shot fired inside Tacoma nightclub, one person grazed by bullet

TACOMA, Wash -- Police say at least one shot was fired inside a Tacoma nightclub Sunday morning, prompting a large emergency response shortly after midnight.

At the time of the incident, close to 200 people were inside The Town on Pacific Avenue, according to investigators.

Officers said one person was grazed by a bullet and some witnesses said more than one shot was fired.

Police quickly identified a suspect and spotted his vehicle leaving the area.

When they attempted a traffic stop, officers say the driver crashed, then fled on foot.

He was arrested shortly afterward.

Detectives have not released information on what might have led to the gunfire or further details about the suspect.
