Police: 6-year-old girl fell from moving vehicle in Lynnwood

LYNNWOOD, Wash. (AP) — Lynnwood police say a 6-year-old girl is in the hospital after she fell from a moving vehicle which then struck her.

Sgt. Sean Doty says the girl fell out as the vehicle was turning out of a parking lot Sunday afternoon. She was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with unknown injuries.

Harborview spokeswoman Susan Gregg said the girl will be taken to an intensive care unit. She did not have information about her condition.

Police say the driver is cooperating.
