Bus driver stabbed by passenger on Metro bus

SEATTLE -  A King County Metro bus driver has been taken to Harborview Medical Center after a stabbing on a Metro bus.

A Metro supervisor says the bus driver tried to avoid a confrontation with the passenger.

The passenger followed him to the bathroom where he stabbed him five times.

Seattle Fire department says they transported the 54-year-old man to the hospital with serious injuries.

After a short search, Seattle police have the suspect in custody.

No other injuries were reported.
