Man apprehended after running between lanes of traffic on Illinois highway (VIDEO)

CHICAGO -- All lanes are now open on the outbound Dan Ryan Expressway near 63rd Street after a man was apprehended by Illinois State Police.

Illinois State Police received a call around 5:56 a.m. Tuesday for a man running between lanes of traffic on the outbound Dan Ryan. He jumped from the local lanes to the express lanes, and jumped onto the CTA Red Line tracks at one point.

With help from IDOT, state police tackled the man on the Dan Ryan just north of 63rd Street and handcuffed.

He was transported to St. Bernard Hospital in good condition, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

All lanes are open but heavy delays are reported around this area.
