Manuia 'Manu Bird' Atualevao: Domestic violence offender with history of hurting wife surrenders in Georgia.

ATUALEVAO

GEORGIA - Lacey Police say Manuia  Atualevao surrendered in Georgia this week, telling authorities "he was tired of running."

WANTED IN LACEY --
Take a look at the photos below showing the abuse Lacey Police say a wife suffered at the hands of her husband -- her face fractured and half of her hair ripped out from her head.

His name is Manuia  Atualevao, a.k.a. ‘Manu Bird.’

Police say he has a long history hurting his wife -- and he's on the run.

"We're looking for this suspect because of the violence in the attack against his wife. It was especially brutal. She suffered facial fractures, she was struck repeatedly in the face with a closed fist, she was held against her will for a number of hours before she was able to escape,” said Lacey Police Det. Sgt. Terence Brimmer. “This subject has a history of domestic violence dating back to 1998. He served jail time for several assaults against his wife, ranging from Thurston County to Pierce County and even for assaults that occurred in Hawaii, where they used to live.”

Detectives say the beating happened last Saturday, April 16th.

Atualevao took off in a black Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer edition -- and hasn't been seen since.

His felony warrant is for assault, harassment and unlawful imprisonment.
