Seattle car prowl thefts listed by neighborhood; Queen Anne leads with 350 so far

SEATTLE -- Seattle's Queen Anne neighborhood has had more than 350 car prowl thefts so far this year, the Seattle Police Department says.

The Capitol Hill neighborhood had about 270, and the Roosevelt/Ravenna area had about 260.

Here's how you can avoid becoming a victim.

If you park in a carport or in front of your house, leave your porch light on all night or use motion-detector lights, police say. If you park in a secure garage, make sure the door closes behind you.
