Convicted child molester who went on run right after prison release -- surrenders to DOC officers in Tacoma

Rogers Lago turned himself into Department of Corrections officers in Tacoma on Tuesday.

FUGITIVE WANTED BY DOC May 7, 2016 --
The Department of Corrections Southwest Community Response Unit is searching for convicted child molester Rogers Lago.  He was released from Stafford Creek Correctional Facility Center on 5/5/2016 and failed to report to his Community Corrections Officer as required.

Lago is a Level 1 sex offender with a prior convictions for Child Molestation 2 and Assault 2 - Intentional and Causes Substantial Bodily Harm. Officers say he is very hostile and considered dangerous.  He has made numerous violent threats to the Department of Corrections staff.  Lago also stated he won't comply with law enforcement.

Lago was last seen hitchhiking in Port Orchard off Hwy 16 towards Tacoma. He was wearing a white t-shirt and tan pants.  He is  5 ft. 11 in. 225 lbs. He has tattoos on his left ankle of a cross and 3 dots.
