Spider-shirt-wearing suspect: Store clerk's smoke break interrupted by uniquely dressed -- and armed -- robber

SPIDER SHIRTWANTED IN PIERCE COUNTY --
Surveillance video shows a clerk at the ‘Country Convenience Plus’ store in the rural Pierce County town of Roy head outside for a smoke break, but it's cut short by a customer coming in the door. So, she heads back around the counter -- not knowing she's walking right into a holdup.

"He started off just asking for the money and when the clerk refused he pulled out a handgun, so he escalated it really quick. We're lucky that nobody got hurt,” says Pierce County Det. Ed Troyer. “This might be somebody that's new at armed robberies, either way he's armed himself and is willing to use a handgun to get money, makes him dangerous, especially since we don't know why he's getting the money, because this is out of character for a robbery, to happen on a Sunday afternoon at 1:45 at a very rural spot, a male in his mid-50's who doesn't even dress or look the part."

Take a good look at the spiderweb shirt he's wearing.

Detectives think he's 5’6” and weighs around 230 pounds.
