High-Violent Offender who was wanted by DOC; convicted of robbing, beating homeless man -- arrested in Yakima County

FUGITIVE CAPTURED May 6, 2016 --
Robert Obay was arrested and booked into the Yakima County Jail on Friday after DOC officers and Tieton Police caught him in Cowiche.

FUGITIVE WANTED BY DOC IN YAKIMA COUNTY April 29, 2016 --
The Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force in Yakima is on the hunt for a High-Violent felon convicted of robbing and beating a homeless man.

Robert Obay is also a convicted child predator -- busted for communicating with a minor for immoral purposes in 1999.

He's wanted by the Department of Corrections for Escape -- breaking probation on convictions for robbery, drugs and assaulting an officer.

The task force thinks he's still in the Yakima area but also has ties to Spokane.
