Police: SUV hits, kills motorcyclist in Tacoma; driver flees on foot

TACOMA -- The driver of a SUV hit and killed a motorcyclist at South 38th and M Street in Tacoma Wednesday night and then fled on foot, police said.

Police said the motorcyclist, a man, was pronounced dead at the scene.


The accident occurred at about 8:20 p.m., police said.

The driver fled on foot heading north. He was described as a Hispanic man in his 20s or 30s, about 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8, wearing white T-shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about the accident or driver is urged to call the Tacoma Police Department.
