SHELTON, Wash. — All schools in Shelton are running two hours late after power went out for hundreds of customers.
That power outage was caused by a car that crashed into a power line early Tuesday on Shelton Springs Road near Shelton High School. It’s unclear if anyone was hurt.
The Mason County Public Utility District restored power by 6 a.m.
School officials delayed school by two hours because of the outage.
Authorities remind drivers if you’re in a crash where lines are down, stay inside your car and call the utility company for help.
