Railroad arm impales school bus, lands in student's lap in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES -- A railroad-crossing arm went right through the window of a school bus landing in a student's lap Tuesday morning in Los Angeles.

Aerial video from KTLA taken at 7:30 a.m. showed the school bus stopped on railroad tracks with the crossing arm sticking out of a broken window.

The bus apparently tried to cross the tracks when somehow the crossing arm impaled the bus and went completely through.

Students were on the bus at the time, and video showed a firefighter board the bus and move the crossing arm off of the child.

It was unclear if any of the students were injured.
