Men read horrible comments to female sports reporters in powerful viral video

***Warning: Some of the comments involve disturbing language and topics

CHICAGO -- Two female Chicago sports reporters are confronting the harassment they receive on a daily basis in a video that's gone viral.

Many local anchors and reporters know first-hand just how mean people can be – in fact, our sister-station WGN has even reported on it before.

Created by the podcast group Just Not Sports, the video features men reading real online comments -- not their own -- that  Sarah Spain and Julie DiCaro have received during their careers. The women knew what comments the men would be reading, but the men had NO idea. They visually struggled to get the words out, and often apologized after they blurted out the hate.

"So I have to read all of them, right?" one man asked before he read this comment to DiCaro: "I hope you get raped again."

DiCaro has spoken publicly about being a rape victim.

"We wouldn't say it to there faces. So let's not type it," reads text says at the end of the video.

Since it was posted Tuesday morning to Facebook, the video has been viewed over 250,000 times and shared over 5,000 times.
