MOUNT VERNON, Wash.– With nearly two weeks left of the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, Tulip Town announced they will be closing early.

The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival normally runs for the whole month of April. Unfortunately, warm weather in March and the beginning of April brought an early bloom for the tulips.

Tulip Town said only late season tulips remained in their fields. They will close at 5:00 p.m. on April 17.

Another popular place for visitors, RoozenGaarde, posted this to their Facebook page:

“As for our fields, we are topping them day by day meaning a little less color with each passing day. We will hold at least four colors in our field behind RoozenGaarde through the weekend, but cannot make any promises beyond that.”
