Armed UW street robber: Help Seattle Police identify man suspected of sticking-up student walking home from library

WANTED IN SEATTLE --
Take a close look at the face of the guy in the bright red hoodie.

Seattle Police are hoping somebody knows his name after detectives say he and another suspect robbed a University of Washington student at gunpoint.

He was caught on camera using a stolen credit card taken from the student on Greek Row just walking home from the library.

"He got his wallet. He got his cell phone, his laptop, textbooks, backpack, a whole bunch of stuff,” says Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound.

And then police say the suspect showed up at the gas station with the victim's credit card. He bought Gatorade and candy before heading back outside where a red car had pulled up and was waiting for him. He handed off the drinks and candy to the people inside.

Police say the car was stolen in Lynnwood and it's been recovered.

The suspect went back into the store where he said something to the clerk and then turned around and left for good.

"The fact is when you pull a gun on somebody, you probably intended to shoot the victim if you need to,” adds Carner. “Fortunately, it didn't happen in this case. Doesn't mean it might not happen in another case because right now, we have this suspect at large with a weapon and he may use it on you.”

Seattle police say the suspect appears to be about 6'0”.
