SEATTLE-- The Seattle Police Department said it would hold a news conference at 5:30 p.m. Monday about a Renton mother who disappeared after she went on a date Friday night.
Renton Police say Ingrid Lyne’s disappearance is part of an ongoing investigation, and Seattle Police are also involved.
Neighbors say investigators have been in the neighborhood all weekend. Now friends have taken their concerns to social media, and they are desperate for answers.
Getting choked up at times, Edward Franceschina shares his concern over the disappearance of his neighbor Ingrid Lyne, who he says he saw more as a daughter.
“I don’t know; it’s not good,” said Franceschina. “The purse, the telephone and everything was in the house.”
Franceschina said he last saw the Renton mom on Friday afternoon checking her mail before heading to a Mariner’s game. Her friends have now taken her disappearance to social media, saying she went on a date with someone she met online. When she didn’t show to pick up her kids Saturday morning, her friends raised the alarm.
Friends and neighbors say her car is missing too and since Lyne’s disappearance, investigators have been showing up in the neighborhood all weekend.
“It’s a pretty quiet neighborhood and a pretty quiet cul-de-sac so it was a little weird to see all the police activity,” said neighbor Dawn Early.
And as each day passes, their worry over the mother of three only grows.
“It’s not good, and the longer it goes on the more you think she’s not coming back,” said Franceschina.
Q13 News has learned that Lyne is a nurse with Swedish hospital. A spokesperson for Swedish said Seattle Police alerted them to the situation and they are concerned. They are now helping police in any way they can.
Friends say Lyne's car is a gray 2015 Toyota Highlander with Washington plates AUW 3230.
