BELLINGHAM, Wash — A marijuana grinder shaped like an explosive device caused a scare at the airport Saturday morning, according to Bellingham Police.

The bomb squad was called to the Bellingham International Airport after security spotted what they thought was a hand grenade inside a carry-on bag going through the x-ray machine.

After getting a closer look, investigators determined it was actually a pot grinder and confirmed there was no threat to the public.

No word yet on whether the person the bag belongs to will face charges.
