Serial bank robber arrested in Parkland, police say
PARKLAND, Wash. -- Police said Wednesday they arrested a man suspected of several bank robberies in Pierce County.
According to Puyallup police, officers arrested the suspect around 1 p.m. at the Blue Spruce Motel on Pacific Avenue South, just south of SR 512.
Authorities believe he is responsible for robbing a US Bank on Monday. The unidentified suspect is also the suspect in bank robberies in Federal Way and University Place in the last few weeks.
A tip led detectives to the motel after police released photos of the suspect earlier this week.
Police said a second man was taken into custody for outstanding warrants.
