‘Awkward yet effective’ — and amusing — video against distracted driving goes viral

REDMOND, Wash. — The Redmond Police Department tweeted this link to a New Zealand government video aimed at discouraging drivers from using their cell phones while driving.

The video has received more than 1.76 million views on YouTube.

“Awkward, yet effective. Drivers…put your passenger first,” the Redmond Police Department tweeted. “Well done.”
