Dempsey nets late goal leading Sounders to 1st season victory

Seattle- After starting the season with an 0-3 record the Sounders FC rebounded tonight beating Montreal Impact 1-0. Off Andreas Invanschitz corner kick in the 79th minute Dempsey connected at the back post for the lone goal of the match. It was his first MLS goal of the season.

Goalkeeper Stefan Frei made four saves as he picked up his first shutout of 2016.

Cristian Roldan started his second straight match for an injured Erik Friberg while Brad Evans returned after separating his shoulder in the team's season opener against Sporting KC.

The team's next match is Sunday, April 10th against the Houston Dynamo.
