FUGITIVE WANTED IN KING COUNTY AND BY DOC April 1, 2016 --
Jimi Hansen is a child molester who’s failing to register as a sex offender and wanted in King County for having an AR-15.

He's a 5 time convicted felon who is not allowed to have firearms.

He's on the run in King County after not showing up for court following his arrest in January when he tried to escape from deputies in Auburn by rolling down a hill into a creek. Guardian One, the King County Sheriff’s Office’s helicopter directed deputies to where Hansen was hiding.

Hansen surrendered peacefully, but ironically, deputies weren't even there for him. "We went to this trailer to look for somebody else,” says King County Sgt. Cindi West. “He came out while we were there looking for the subject that's wanted. He disappeared and went behind the trailer and went down a ravine and hid."

When they searched the trailer, they found an AR-15. "What he told us is that the gun wasn't his. He was holding it for a friend and the friend was upset and might go use it on somebody else." Something he's not allowed to do as a convicted felon.

"You know, this case baffles me,” West adds. “This is a guy that had a felony warrant at the time. We wouldn't have known. We were looking for someone else but he decided to run and roll down this ravine and hide from us when the helicopter's there and now our attention's diverted to him and he ended up going to jail. You can run but you can't hide. With the helicopter. We're probably going to get you."

A warrant was issued for his arrest when Hansen didn't show up for his arraignment.

He's 38 years old, 6’0” and weighs 205 pounds.
