UW having a great time preparing for Final Four matchup with Syracuse

SEATTLE - The University of Washington women's basketball team practiced Tuesday at Hec Edmundson Pavilion - one of only two practices they'll get before the biggest game in the program's history.

Thanks to an 85-76 victory over Stanford, UW will play Syracuse on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. in its first Final Four ever.

It's been a hectic week for the Huskies, as might be expected. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

"When your list of responsibilities includes showing up to have your ring sized for your Final Four ring - that's a pretty cool thing," UW coach Mike Neighbors said during a news conference Tuesday.

Fans can see the team off Thursday morning at 9 a.m. at Husky Stadium.

The winner of Sunday's game will face the winner of Oregon State-UConn for the national title.
