For the third time in three years, Christine Michael signs a contract with the Seahawks

SEATTLE – Stop us if you’ve heard this one before: The Seattle Seahawks have signed running back Christine Michael to a new contract.

The Seahawks announced Thursday that they’d signed Michael, marking his third with the team since they made him their second-round draft pick in 2013.

Michael joins Thomas Rawls – the likely starter – and Cameron Marshall, whom they signed from the Canadian Football League last month.

Seattle traded Michael to Dallas last September after he’d totaled just 254 yards in two seasons.

The Cowboys cut him after he played in five games, and he eventually wound up back with Seattle.

In three games with the Seahawks at the end of last season, Michael carried 39 times for 192 yards.
