'Justice for Jackie' demonstrators march in Tacoma, call for outside probe into police shooting

TACOMA -- Hundreds took part in a "Justice for Jackie" march to the federal courthouse in Tacoma Wednesday to protest a recent police shooting of Jackie Salyers.

Salyers was killed in late January when police were trying to arrest Kenneth Wright, who had two outstanding felony warrants. When they approached the car he was in, police say, Salyers drove right at them. An officer fired, killing her.

Protesters question the police department's version of events and are calling for an outside investigation.
