Offense paves the way in Huskies 107-102 victory

 

SEATTLE -  The Washington Huskies scored over 100 points for the third time this season as they beat Long Beach State, 107-102 in the first round of the NIT tournament at Alaska Airlines Arena.

Freshmen Dejounte Murray scored 30 points and Marquese Chriss added 27 while senior guard, Andrew Andrews finished with 25 points.   Chriss also added 11 rebounds as the Huskies had to rally from 14 points down to win the game.

The 3rd-seed Huskies will take on the number 2 seed, San Diego State in the next round of the tournament.  The Aztecs beat IPFW, 79-55 on Tuesday night.
