UW Police investigating sexual assault in residence hall on campus

SEATTLE -- University of Washington Police said Thursday detectives were told Wednesday of a sexual assault that reportedly took place in a residence hall on campus on Feb. 27.

"The victim had met the male suspect on an online dating application. They texted privately and agreed to meet. On the weekend of February 27, 2016, inside the victim’s residence, the suspect sexually assaulted her," a UW Police news release said.

The suspect is described as a 24-year-old white man, 6-foot and a thin build. His hair is closely cropped and dark brown.  "The suspect is not believed to be a UW student," UW police said.
