Troopers: Woman hits car, then forgets to put car in park, so it runs over man's foot and hits truck

SEATTLE - A bizarre chain reaction turned a minor collision into a three-car crash on Thursday afternoon, the Washington State Patrol said.

Troopers said it began when a woman apparently rear-ended a man on southbound Interstate 5 near the Pierce/King county line.

As the man was walking back to talk to the woman, the woman got out of her car.

The problem was, she forgot to put car in park and it rolled forward, stopping on the man's foot.

Troopers said she hurried back into her car to reverse it, but she fell out and it rolled over her.

It then rolled out into the HOV lane, were it hit a box truck.

Troopers said there were two minor injuries, and that alcohol was not a factor.
