Police investigating after man, 30, shot at Tukwila apartment complex

TUKWILA, Wash. -- Police are investigating a shooting that sent a man to the hospital Thursday morning in Tukwila.

Officials say a 30-year-old man was shot around 6 a.m. at the Riverton Terrace apartment complex. He was taken with life-threatening injuries to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Video from the scene shows an SUV with its windows smashed out. There were shell casings on the ground near the car and across the parking lot.

Tukwila Police Cmdr. Rick Mitchell says officers searched the area but couldn't find a suspect based on the scant information they obtained.

Two nearby schools were briefly locked down during the search.
